Sobre Sofia
I'm graduated in Law and Political Sciences by the University of Granada, in Andalucía, Spain. But don't worry, I was born and live in Madrid, so my accent is very clear ;) I've been trained as a Spanish teacher (as a foreign language, ELE) by Instituto Cervantes, the most important public organization for the international spreading of Spanish language and culture. So that, I got the "Diploma de Acreditación Docente del I.C." (DADIC), which certifies the teacher has the enough competences and skills to be able to design a high-quality session and to teach autonomously. I have taught Spanish to migrant groups of people with A1 and A2 levels, in different NGOs in Madrid and Granada. I also have worked in language Academies with A1-B1 level groups. Finally, I also can help you to get ready to pass DELE exams effectively.

My teaching methodology is inductive, so it starts from a REAL and useful need, which is reflected on each activity of the session. All my sessions are designed with a sequence of tasks that lead to real SPEECH, so that we'll work on the right grammar structures that allow you to use ORAL EXPRESSION during a great part of the session. In each class, you'll learn the most frequent structures and expressions and you'll put them into action! If you trust me as your teacher, this is what will happen: -In that first free session, we will get to know each other: I will ask you about your expectations for the session and your specific Spanish needs, and I will talk to you about myself for a bit, also. That will be enough to check your Spanish level. You can answer me in your language if you cannot do it in Spanish, but I will always talk to you in Spanish. *SPANISH IS USED ALL THE TIME, ALWAYS, except for specific vocabulary needs*. Then, based on your level, and always flowing with the conversation, I will show you the grammar structures you need the most to be able to express yourself at that moment. We will stop and focus on them to understand their written form and pronunciation. [ I'm a quite nice and funny teacher, I use a lot of humor sense to make you feel relaxed and to create a comfortable and nearby environment for learning ;) ] -Faster than you can imagine, there'll be only 5 minutes left until the end of the session. Then, we'll make a fast review of the new communicative structures you have learned, and I will ask you about the type of homework you feel more comfortable with, and also about your feelings on the session. That is very important to adjust the next session to the expectations you have. We will say goodbye and, less than an hour later, I will send you your personal homework by e-mail! Do you like how you imagine that? TRY IT! :D

If you want to cancel the session with a full refund, you will have to notify it at least 1 day before the session (24h). Otherwise, only 50% of the price will be refunded. Remember that I don't work only during the time of the session, but also during the design of it and your homework!
