Sobre Jeroen
I'm Jeroen, a Dutch guy living in Madrid with my wife and two kids. I studied econometrics and quantitative finance at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and mathematics has been a constant thread throughout my career, from investment analysis to data-driven consulting.
I genuinely enjoy helping people understand things that initially feel out of reach. There's something satisfying about seeing the moment it clicks for a student who thought they just "weren't a maths person." I've taught at high school level before and know that patience and a clear explanation go a long way.
Outside of work I'm curious by nature, straightforward in how I communicate, and someone who takes teaching seriously without making it feel like a chore. If you're looking for a tutor who will actually invest in your progress rather than just show up and go through the motions, I think we'll get along well.

I hold an MSc in Quantitative Finance and a BSc in Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, so mathematics has always been at the core of what I do, both in my studies and professionally. I have also taught mathematics at high school level, so I know what it takes to explain the subject clearly to younger students.
My approach is practical and personal. I start by figuring out where a student is getting stuck and why, and build from there. No one-size-fits-all method, just whatever works best for that specific person. I'm patient, direct, and good at breaking down complex topics in a way that actually clicks.
I teach in English or Dutch, allowing me to support international students or Dutch-speaking families in Madrid. I'm comfortable with all levels from secondary school through to university, with particular strength in calculus, statistics, linear algebra, and probability.
Whether you're preparing for an exam, trying to catch up, or just want to actually understand the material rather than memorise it, I'm happy to help make that happen.
