• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  I used Excel for the first time at the University just for a couple of subjects, at that time I couldn't even imagine Excel would be the main tool that I would use for the next ten years in my career path.

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  It's Automation. I think the turning point is now because, with accelerated advances in Artificial Intelligence, machines are able to perform tasks that normally require humans, so this is for me a technological revolution but it needs to be done by being aware of the social impact and seeking measures to prevent the inequality.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  My work experience has allowed me to acquire the ability to analyze complex problems in a simple spreadsheet. So, I am interested in sharing this knowledge with everyone who wants to learn, and show excel isn't a nightmare but just a tool.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  Yes, definitely, due to his ability to anticipate, to imagine what did not yet exist but would impact the entire world.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  I always found it funny, how my co-workers, who were experts in other technical areas, would be surprised by some excel calculation as if it was some kind of magic.

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  As complicated as tying shoelaces was when you were a kid, so don't worry you just need practice and a good teacher

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  I like to read science fiction and immerse myself in dystopian futures. who knows, maybe one of them will be the future that awaits us.

• What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  Patience and love to teach. many people have knowledge but find it difficult to transmit it
