I'm a 22 year old student from the countryside in the south of England, who has been studying languages for over 5 years (Spanish, French, a bit of Italian and even some Catalan at one point!) As a result, I can completely resonate with the challenges and frustration of building up your confidence and linguistic accuracy. However, with the experience of learning several languages from scratch, I am a very patient and instructive teacher. Aside from my studies, I am a big fan of sport, both watching and playing football and padel, which I have thoroughly enjoyed here in Barcelona.

My approach to teaching is focused on creating a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable speaking English and making mistakes. Rather than relying solely on memorization, I encourage students to actively use English through discussion, role-play, reading, and practical exercises.
A typical lesson might begin with a short conversation to practice speaking and identify areas for improvement. We would then focus on a specific topic, such as grammar, pronunciation, exam preparation, or everyday communication. The lesson would finish with a review of key points and suggestions for practice before the next session.
As a native English speaker from the UK and a student at Durham University currently studying abroad at UPF in Barcelona, I can provide authentic, natural English and help students improve both their fluency and confidence. I am patient, approachable, and committed to preparing lessons that match each student's learning style and objectives.
