I am a forty-one-year-old teacher and researcher who has been dedicated to teaching and research since the age of twenty-four. In my youth, I worked as a bookstore shelf employee and also in administrative roles. I have lived abroad on several occasions, which has made me aware of and sensitive to the practical and concrete needs of those seeking to learn or perfect a language. In this vein, my lessons are both student-centered and tailored to individual needs, ensuring that each student leaves every lesson with new knowledge, whether it be a word, an idiomatic expression, or a linguistic insight.

With more than 16 years of experience in higher education, I am an experienced and versatile teacher. My classes combine brief lecture segments, extended participatory moments, as well as “in real time” exercises that reproduce the vertiginous experience of speaking, listening, and trying to express oneself in a language that is not one’s own.
Precisely because I have taught both in secondary education and at the doctoral level, my classes are designed for all kinds of audiences, and are adapted to the needs, interests, and concerns of each student.

Llevo cerca de medio año teniendo clases de inglés con Mauro y no puedo recomendarlo más! Adapta las clases a tu nivel e intereses y aprendes rápidamente de una forma amena. Yo ya sabía inglés, pero quería retomarlo y presentarme al C2 de Cambridge, tenía el idioma bastante abandonado y es increíble lo mucho que he mejorado en tan pocos meses. Un profe verdaderamente top!
Me preparé con Mauro para el oral del Proficiency e hizo la diferencia. Luego seguí para mejorar mi inglés académico y me dio herramientas que todavía hoy me son super útiles. Recomendadísimo, el mejor profe que tuve para nivel avanzado
