Sobre Raven
I'm a former military professional, now living in Medellín for almost a year, where I've embraced both the beauty of the culture and the joy of teaching. I'm also a proud mother and wife, and I bring that same sense of dedication, structure, and care into my lessons. My background has taught me the value of discipline, perseverance, and clear communication—qualities that deeply shape my teaching style. I truly believe that knowledge is power, and I’m just as passionate about learning as I am about sharing what I know. My goal is to help you grow not just academically, but with confidence and purpose.

As a private teacher, my approach is centered on repetition and practicality—the two pillars I believe lead to long-term retention and real-world application. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts by revisiting them from different angles, reinforcing key points through varied exercises, and applying them in practical contexts. My lessons are interactive and hands-on, encouraging active learning rather than passive note-taking. I tailor each class to the student's level and goals, ensuring a personalized pace and structure. Teaching Techniques & Methodology: I use a cyclical method: introduce a concept, practice it through exercises, apply it in real-world scenarios, then revisit it later to reinforce understanding. I also incorporate visual aids, real-life examples, and quick assessments to track progress and adjust my strategy. Raven—my internal framework—helps me gauge when a student is ready to move forward: Review, Apply, Verify, Expand, and Normalize. Example of a Class Program: Week 1-4: Foundations Introduction to core concepts Daily practice with immediate feedback Practical exercises (real-world problems) Week 5-8: Application & Integration More complex tasks Real-life simulations Mid-program assessment using Raven Week 9-12: Mastery & Confidence Deep review with spaced repetition Presentation or project Final assessment and strategy for continued learning Particularities as a Teacher: Students often say I’m patient, adaptable, and focused on making difficult topics feel simple. I believe in consistency over cramming, and I’m always refining my lessons based on student feedback and performance. Who My Classes Are For: I work with students of all levels, from beginners to those preparing for specific certifications or diplomas. Whether you're just starting out, brushing up for exams, or seeking to specialize in a particular area, my classes adapt to your needs—especially in areas requiring strong practical skills and structured understanding.
