Sobre Mandy
Teaching is a passion, it requires great patience and effort to be able to teach (kids/teenagers/adults). In my 4 years of teaching, I believe that I have acquired these qualities because teaching for me is not only a profession but a vocation. I have obtained my Post graduate certificate in Education and my TEFL certificate in South Africa. I am a qualified teacher to teach English as a Second Language. Apart from teaching, I like to read books, watch science fiction movies, travel and most of all, trying out different cuisines. I love sharing my experiences and knowledge to those who don’t know. I am an enthusiastic, energetic and fun person!

First and foremost, I make sure to assess my students during trial lessons to see which aspect of English they struggle with then, I plan our lesson based on what the student needs the most. I also empower my students with confidence to learn from their mistakes and be open about it.
Next, for Job Interviews I thoroughly assess which sector does the students qualified for then, I base practical Interview questions on the sector the student has qualified for. I also assist students to make research about companies they aspire to work so that they can have a background knowledge about what to expect during interviews.
Moreover, I adopt a fun based strategy for my students to engage in creating fun activities and vocabulary games to enhance the knowledge of my students.
I have online teaching experiences, I am TEFL certified, furthermore, I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. I ensure that my students are fully satisfied with the content of their lessons of the day. During the lesson, I am more of a tutor, mentor and an organizer bringing together the experiences and situations such that my students actively understands, reinvent and reconstruct everything they learnt during the lessons that to transmit information to them without practical understanding.
In my teaching methodologies, I avoid indoctrination and brainwashing meaning, I make use of active methods instead of traditional or consecutive methods and I further appeal to other technological and knowledge support when necessary and appropriate. During the lesson, I am more authoritative than an authoritarian or a permissive English teacher, which purports for the demand of authoritative figures in intellectual terms and those of student-tutor relationship.
