Hello! I'm a Texan now living in Cartagena. I have been working as a practicing Civil Engineer for a Fortune 500 Company in the US for 6 years and volunteering as an ESL teacher. I have quit my job, opened my own engineering consulting company, and travelling South America in order to learn Spanish and more about the culture that I love so far. I'm passionate about teaching languages as I myself am learning a new one (intermediate level now).

I am currently a intermediate level Spanish speaker and generally teach English the same way I have learned Spanish. This includes a lot of conversation as I try to minimize overloading with a lot of text and extensive grammar. Knowing now how Spanish speakers think as I can speak a bit, I know the pitfalls that they make. As a previous Project Manager in the US, I have a bit more of a logical vs an academic way of teaching.
